Submarine Hopping

Originally we were heading over to see the Arizona and the Pearl Harbor Memorial, but we got there too late, so we went to see this submarine (sorry I can't remember the name of the sub). It was really cool! Here are some of the pictures from the tour.

Avast ye maties! Argh!

Right before we went below.

These are the torpedo bays. The tour paper (it was a self guided tour) said that there would always be 4 on the holes and 2 awaiting.

These are really small doors! Watch your head and don't trip!

If you gotta go, you better be able to crouch in a small area. Choosing the wrong valve to flush can be devastating! Thankfully, if there is a fire, you would be well prepared.

Check out the SPACIOUS quarters you get if you are the captain! They even give you a desk!

These are a lot of valves!

I wonder what this button does?

Coming out of the "belly of the ship"

Take aim young lad!
Put some muscle into it, boy!

Oh! There's where I left my spare underwear!

Look Jordan! A sign for IHOP!

All full ahead! Aye! All full ahead!

Sure! I could have been a Navy Master Diver, but I don't like the bubble you have to wear on your head.

Tasha is not impressed!

Here is the whole submarine!

This is Ford Island. The white rectangular box to the far right is the observatory sitting right over the Arizona. We plan to go back sometime this week (when it is open) to go to the memorial.
